In response to the lack of literature regarding the motives, destinations, behavior and results of foreign direct investment originating from Colombia, this article examines the international acquisition strategy that Bavaria has employed in the beer markets of Europe, Panama, Ecuador and Most recently Peru. We examine the strategic reaction that a Colombian firm has had to utilize in order to cope with the changing international environment.
