Abstract

In this article a development of the contingency theory is presented within the evolution of the management theories framework, according to the work carry out by Burns and Stalker, Lawrence and Lorsh, Pradip Khandwall. They made a lot of research about this topic on the 60 70 decades. We also make an analysis of the work by Henry Mintzberg and Drazin and Stephen Robbins modern authors who are contributed to this theory from point of view of its incidence on the strategy, the structure and the environment.
