Foreign investment in Colombia is going to be encouraged through the actual possibility that investors have of entering into a contract of law stability with the colombian state. Prior the accomplishment of some fundamental requirements, natural or legal persons, either nacional or foreigner, even a consortium, by means of those contracts, could obtain from the colombian state the guarantee that the present laws which regulated their investments would not be modified for a term that could oscillate between 3 to 20 years.
