Strategic direction supported on the ICT The strategic direction should be a continuous process that supports the long-term goals mapped out within companies. This process involves the implementation of a strategic plan that is recognized, understood and accepted by the staff responsible for its implementation. In addition, this plan should take into account the company as a whole and its relationship with the environment; in this regard, information technologies and communications are highly important. The objective of this research and the main expected result is to identify the ICT tools that support the strategic management process; in this sense the methodology meets the criteria for basic research as a first theoretical approach.
