Abstract

Nowadays literature reflects a special interest in the study of regional business networks and business innovation, particularly viewing human resources as a vital aspect that contributes to the development of knowledge and innovation networks within business networks. This article examines the relationship between the level of training of human resources and the links between companies within the cluster of clothing manufacturing companies in the state of Caldas, Colombia, as determining factors of performance in business innovation. It presents the theoretical framework, the regional context, and the main results. It concludes that human resource training, the existence of specialized areas, human resources strategic plans, and joint actions between the companies involving human resources, have a positive impact on business innovation.
