Abstract

TOCA TORRES, Claudia Eugenia. Swarm intelligence: approach to the analysis of networks. estud.gerenc. [online]. 2014, vol.30, n.132, pp.259-2666. ISSN 0123-5923.

By using a review of English literature on Swarm Intelligence and other meta-heuristics over the last sixteen years, the state of the art of three of its features, self-organization, flexibility and robustness, are discussed. This theoretical approach provides an understanding of Swarm Intelligence application not only of a species but also on superior levels of life such as, communities and ecosystems. In the long term, as flexibility and robustness arise from self-organization, research on entrepreneurial network must focus on issues of self-organization (information, communication, leadership, inventive potential, belonging, autonomy, collective action, cooperation, interaction, liberty and diversity), as well as a networking analysis using graphs and indicators.

Keywords : Swarm intelligence; Self-organization; Entrepreneurial network.
