Abstract

AGUIRRE, Joao. Strategic intelligence: A system to manage innovation. estud.gerenc. [online]. 2015, vol.31, n.134, pp.100-110. ISSN 0123-5923.

Strategic intelligence is a concept traditionally used in military, defense, and even as ''government secrecy'' contexts, although there are also tentative applications of an academic and administrative nature. This paper presents a conceptual proposal of the term ''strategic intelligence'', using a combination of different tools currently used independently. The investigation begins with an analysis of the literature using bibliometric techniques, identifying leaders, networks, and dynamic publications. This showed that there is no specific definition in the literature that is applicable in managerial and administrative contexts. Finally, a process for managing strategic intelligence in an organization is proposed, which is conceived from strategic integration to ensure the management of innovation, productivity growth, and competitiveness.

Keywords : Strategic intelligence; Innovation; Surveillance technology; Competitive; Forecasting.
