Abstract
RODRIGUEZ-RAGA, Santiago and RIANO RODRIGUEZ, Félix Francisco. Determinants of access to financial products among Colombian households. estud.gerenc. [online]. 2016, vol.32, n.138, pp.14-24. ISSN 0123-5923. https://doi.org/10.1016/j.estger.2015.11.004.
There is evidence to establish a positive relation between access to financial products, wealth and quality of life of households, especially among low income households. The following paper seeks to understand what determines access to different financial products among Colombian households. The study uses an econometric model based on the information contained in the Colombian Longitudinal Survey (ELCA) of the Universidad de los Andes. As a conclusion, it finds that the main determinants of access to financial products among Colombian households are the level of income or wealth, education and stable employment.
