Abstract

HIGUERA OJITO, Víctor Hugo; HENRIQUEZ FUENTES, Gustavo Rafael  and  MEJIA REATIGA, Camilo Antonio. Perceptions about university social responsibility actions: Are they the same for all types of stakeholders?. estud.gerenc. [online]. 2023, vol.39, n.169, pp.502-515.  Epub Dec 22, 2023. ISSN 0123-5923.  https://doi.org/10.18046/j.estger.2023.169.6176.

The present study aimed to evaluate whether the perceptions for 20 postulates about university social responsibility actions are the same for six types of stakeholders studied, allowing for an understanding of how these actions are perceived. From the data of a survey that uses an ordinal scale, and a sample of 364 respondents, hypotheses are formulated for each postulate by applying the non-parametric Kruskal-Wallis test. It is concluded that the perceptions of actions in social responsibility developed by the university are not the same for all types of stakeholders for most of the postulates. It is recommended that university leaderships consider means to promote among all the stakeholders the knowledge and results about the actions of social responsibility.

Keywords : university social responsibility; stakeholders; non-parametric tests; Kruskal-Wallis; perceptions, sustainability.
