Abstract

The aim of this paper is to develop a relationship between mass culture and literature in the work of Manuel Puig Boquitas Pintadas. To this end, we will use the concept of dissimulation as an allegorical element to describe the method developed by mass cultural instruments in their attempt to seduce the public and also to describe the importance of the process of seduction used by Puig in his novels.
