Resumen

OLIVEIRA GUIMARAES, Maria da Conceição. POETIC DICTION BETWEEN PORTUGAL AND BRAZIL: SOPHIA, CECÍLIA MEIRELES, JOÃO CABRAL, MURILO MENDES AND MANUEL BANDEIRA. Lit. teor. hist. crit. [online]. 2013, vol.15, n.1, pp.35-66. ISSN 0123-5931.

This article seeks to demonstrate the poetic and literary connections resulting from the fortunate comparison between Portuguese and Brazilian poets. The analysis centers on the literary relationship between the Portuguese poet Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen and the Brazilian poets Cecília Meireles, Manuel Bandeira, João Cabral and Murilo Mendes, as illustrated by testimonials of their poetic or more simply social encounters and the frequent and mutual exchange of poems and essays. The convergence of these texts clearly demonstrates the interaction between authors and texts. We must, therefore, acknowledge the existence of a mutual poetic and emotional correspondence, immortalized by its inscription in their poems. For this reason, the key word in this essay will be "influence". Our main objective is to identify a continuing and reciprocal literary and cultural influence among these authors, benefiting both cultures.

Palabras clave : Sophia de Mello Breyner; poetry; Brazilian literature; Portuguese literature; diction; influence.
