Resumen
MEJIA TORO, Eduardo Andrés. ÁNGEL RAMA AND ANTONIO CANDIDO: THE INCLUSION OF BRAZIL IN THE LATIN AMERICAN LITERARY SYSTEM. Lit. teor. hist. crit. [online]. 2014, vol.16, n.1, pp.165-192. ISSN 0123-5931. https://doi.org/10.15446/lthc.v16n1.44330.
The dialogue initiated between Antonio Candido and Ángel Rama sought to integrate Brazilian thought within a Latin American literary tradition. The article discusses that intellectual dialogue as an attempt to integrate continental narratives. To that effect, it compares the points of contact between the critics, on the basis of the concept of literary system as conceived in Rama's transculturation project.
