Abstract

KAWAKAMI, Vítor. About the Editorial Genealogy of the Magazine Mito. Lit. teor. hist. crit. [online]. 2016, vol.18, n.1, pp.11-28. ISSN 0123-5931.  https://doi.org/10.15446/lthc.v18n1.54677.

Through the comparison of the magazine Mito with other literary magazines, including the Argentinean Sur, the French Les Temps Modernes and the Revista Mexicana de Literatura, it is possible to draw up a system of ideological, literary and publishing relations and confrontations present in the thought of writers such as Jorge Luis Borges, Jean-Paul Sartre and Octavio Paz. This system is drawn in order to analyse the complex profile of the Latin American intellectual and its main characteristics, embodied by Jorge Gaitán Durán and present in the editorials he wrote for the Colombian magazine.

Keywords : Jorge Gaitán Durán; Mito: Revista Bimestral de Cultura; Sur; Les Temps Modernes; Revista Mexicana de Literatura.
