Abstract

CHEVALLIER, Jean-Frédéric. Contributions and Times of the (Theatrical) Text. Lit. teor. hist. crit. [online]. 2018, vol.20, n.1, pp.193-226. ISSN 0123-5931.  https://doi.org/10.15446/lthc.v20n1.67625.

The article revisits the relationship between text and theater from the perspective of contemporary performing arts practices, and proposes, in order to understand the nuances of this relationship, the concepts of question-text, weak text, strong text, saturated text, and, finally, proposal-text. The emergence of the proposal-text, produced by the spectator, leads us to think that although much has been said about the "becoming-performance" of a literary text, perhaps the time has come to focus on the "becoming-literature" of a theatrical act.

Keywords : theater; theater of presentation; weak text; strong text; proposal-text; becoming-literature.
