Abstract

CANEVARI, Tomás; BANZATO, Guillermo  and  CIRIO, Gastón. Neighbors' Perceptions of Social and Environmental Problems in La Gran Plata, Argentina. Towards an Agenda of Integral Territory Management. Territ. [online]. 2019, n.40, pp.53-82. ISSN 0123-8418.  https://doi.org/10.12804/revistas.urosario.edu.co/territorios/a.6372.

This paper presents the results of a survey conducted in two large areas of Gran La Plata, Buenos Aires, Argentina, after the tragic flood of April 2, 2013. Our objective is to analyze the perceptions the inhabitants of these neighborhoods had regarding social and environmental problems to apply in the design of scientific intervention and transformation agendas. In this paper, we retake the territorial approach of the critical social theory of space and partially apply the Territorii method, which provides an integral vision of the territories incorporating participation of community actors, politicians and scientists. Finally, we present the advances obtained in scientific agendas in execution, that point to concrete micro-transformations from an integral vision and management, based on the results obtained with the survey.

Keywords : participatory-action research; vulnerability; scientific agenda.
