The Coffee Cultural Landscape of Colombia (cclc) was recognized in 2011 by Unesco as a World Heritage Site, which has meant that the municipalities have a wide international recognition and an important responsibility at different levels because the management, protection, and sustainability of this important world heritage demands a series of human, technical, and economic resources that must be delivered through collaboration and concurrence exercises between the nation and local entities. Based on a mixed methodological approach, the article analyzes various elements of public finance to shed light on the need for cooperation among the various entities responsible for the cclc. The article is divided into four components: the general context of the cclc, the public finances of municipalities, an analysis of fiscal dependence, and general conclusions.
