Abstract

VELARDE HERMIDA, Olivia  and  BERNETE GARCIA, Francisco. Communicative Innovations and Changes in Socio-Economic Systems: Interpretations of Their Effects in Scientific Texts. rev.estud.soc. [online]. 2016, n.56, pp.67-79. ISSN 0123-885X.  https://doi.org/10.7440/res56.2016.05.

Our work aims to see how the interdependencies among transformations in communication and social changes are addressed, from the perspective of reproduction of or change in today's globalized societies. To that end, we carried out a study entitled "The Social Production of Communication and Social Reproduction in the Globalization Era," which has served as the basis for this article. We analyzed the content of academic publications and identified the repertoire of new socioeconomic scenarios that are being considered in scientific fields. Scenarios of a "globalized" future clarify transformations related to social uses of new communication and information technologies. The references to these future scenarios describe macro-sociological and historical processes

Keywords : Social change; content analysis; historical dynamics; communicative innovation.
