The impacts of climate change are extensive and affect different populations with varied environments. However, their repercussions and mitigation take on different forms depending on the geomorphological conditions of the affected area, as well as the socio-environmental networks that operate there. Based on an ethnographic research conducted between 2017-2019 on a rural migrant population residing in a marginalized urban area in the Reconquista River basin (General San Martín, Buenos Aires, Argentina) at the site of one of the largest open-air landfills in Latin America (Ceamse), we will investigate the relationship between notions of risk and socially situated environmental perspectives, considering the experiences and actions aimed at enhancing the well-being of those who inhabit these territories.
