RODRIGUEZ GARCIA, Pablo et al. Skeletal Muscle Metastasis from Gastric Adenocarcinoma: A Case Report and Review of the Literature. rev.colomb.cancerol. [online]. 2021, vol.25, n.1, pp.56-60. Epub Aug 08, 2021. ISSN 0123-9015. https://doi.org/10.35509/01239015.42.
Patients diagnosed with gastric adenocarcinoma may develop liver metastases or peritoneal carcinomatosis, but the presence of muscle metastases is extremely rare, with very few cases reported. We present a 44-year-old female patient with a painful tumor in her left upper limb. She was treated with surgery and chemotherapy for gastric adenocarcinoma a year before. By imaging tests and biopsy, she was diagnosed with a single muscle metastasis from gastric adenocarcinoma and underwent surgical exeresis.
