Abstract

This paper introduces a reflection about organizational psychology practices and their contribution to democracy using a model based upon a public vision. We focus on the social and economical changes inside organizations and the challenges faced by personal selection proccesses in the new organizational context. The goal is to introduce the implicite organizational ideology and its dominant rationality in order to decide which role must be assumed by a professional in this field. The discussion turn around organizational psychologys functions and goals inside society, and the social and communal responsability of this discipline.
