Abstract

This article intends to analyze how the targets of collective action and will to acting collectively impact the process of forming political awareness and political participation of landless farmers. This study will deal with qualitative data derived from semi-structured interviews with five families of landless farmers camped in Pontal do Paranapanema, a western region of the state of Sao Paulo - Brazil. The purpose of this paper is to deepen the understanding of the processes of organization and production of awareness from the highlighted dimensions.
