Abstract

Objective

To evaluate the degree of implantation of the School Health Program in a municipality in northeastern Brazil.

Methods

This is an implantation evaluation study, where criteria and parameters for comparison were defined based on the Donabedian quality components. Data collection took place from May to July 2017, in a municipality in northeastern Brazil. 105 professionals from the Family Health Strategy participated by means of an instrument built from the program's norms. The data were organized in spreadsheets of IBM SPSS Statistics, version 22.0 and analyzed using descriptive statistics.

Results

The intervention has incipient implantation (33.1%), classification identified in the structure (29.3%) and process (34.8%) dimensions.

Conclusion

The School Health Program has an incipient implantation in the municipality that refers to the need to improve its actions and resources used.
