Abstract

DELGADO-PENALOZA, Sandra M.  and  ORTIZ-PIEDRAHITA, Vanessa. Bases for the structuring of a rural health model in Arauca. Rev. salud pública [online]. 2022, vol.24, n.3, pp.1-.  Epub Nov 11, 2022. ISSN 0124-0064.  https://doi.org/10.15446/rsap.v24n3.103746.

Objective

This work aimed to identify some successful models of rural health care which facilitate the construction of a model of rural health care with a differential and intercultural approach for the department of Arauca, Colombia.

Methods

A systematic review was carried out based on databases such as BVS, PubMED, SciELO, and LILACS.

Results

The main finding highlights the need to build a health system based on a model of primary health care (PHC) with a community approach. In order to do this it is necessary to apply strategies related to human talent, management of care networks and others such as the use of technological tools; all focused on providing more efficient and affordable care, aligned with the Colombian health system and adapted to the department of Arauca.
