Abstract

DIAZGRANADOS RINCONES, PAOLA  and  SANCHEZ SOLANO, DINORA. A SOCIAL REPRESENTATION ABOUT WORK OF YOUNG PREPARATORY STUDENTS WHICH ACTUALLY ARE CULMINATING SECONDARY EDUCATION STUDIOS IN THE SANTA MARTA CITY. Psicogente [online]. 2014, vol.17, n.32, pp.406-420. ISSN 0124-0137.

This paper shows the results of an investigation aimed to identify the social representations about the job of young people who are finishing their secondary education in the District of Santa Marta, Colombia; from the postulates of Serge Moscovici. This descriptive cross-sectional study recruited 377 female and male students between 15 and 20 years old. The collection of information was performed with the Social Representation Questionnaire on Youth Work (CRST-J) validated by expert judges and with an alpha of 0.888. For analysis of the results statistical tests were used. Social representations of work are characterized by a social concept with expressive or intrinsic preference.
