Abstract

CERVANTES HENRIQUEZ, MARTHA et al. ALCOHOL USE AMONG STUDENTS IN THIRD TO FIFTH SEMESTER OF PSYCHOLOGY PROGRAM AT A PRIVATE UNIVERSITY IN THE CITY OF BARRANQUILLA. Psicogente [online]. 2014, vol.17, n.32, pp.460-476. ISSN 0124-0137.

This article reveals the results of an investigation that aimed to describe the presence of alcohol use among students in third to fifth semester of Psychology program at a private university in the city of Barranquilla. The sample was comprised of 147 students of III, IV and V semesters and the instrument used was the scale AUDIT, to identify those subjects which had harmful consumption alcohol at an early stage. We identified the presence of student alcohol consumption habits. Also individuals were identified in the reactive 10 scale. Clinically and statistically significant differences AUDIT scores were found, large effect sizes were also huge.
