Abstract

This research focuses on the relationship between epistemological beliefs and teaching methods in High School Math. In order to find the relationship between the variables, some parametric tests were used and 99 teachers previously chosen participated in a probability sampling test. The results showed the oral methods use, particularly the application of explanation methods, combined with exposure is was the most common method for teaching mathematical content alternatives. An Asynchronous development of epistemological beliefs system was confirmed, however a sophisticated level predominated there were no significant differences when polled by gender Talking about age, teaching experience encourages different forms of a closer teaching experience when combined with the development of a student-teacher relationship.
