Through this paper a study of what is considered the cornerstone of the Statute of the Colombian Consumer will: the concept of information. Thus, a statement of the constitutional basis of its legal status, its legal and doctrinal concept, its characteristics and its different expressions in the act 1480 of 2011 be made: first, loading and obligation; in this way to show how proper use of it stands as a very effective tool to restore the legal balance in consumer relations.
