In this paper, we will discuss the changes generated by the emergence of the flagrancy process in the criminal justice of the province of Buenos Aires. To this end, we will begin by describing the characteristics of this process along with the budgets and objectives on which its implementation has been based. These contents will be complemented with the evaluation made by the judicial actors on the flagrancy process. Subsequently, we will analyze the arguments expressed by same judicial actors to request, object, accept or deny the use of pre-trial detention in the hearings that take place within the aforementioned process.

Keywords : Criminal justice; flagrancy; preventive detention.
