Abstract

FERRE-PAVIA, Carme  and  TAMBRA, Cristie Hiyo. Accessible Information on CSR in South America in the Fields of University, Management and Enterprise. rev.univ.empresa [online]. 2018, vol.20, n.35, pp.221-249. ISSN 0124-4639.  https://doi.org/10.12804/revistas.urosario.edu.co/empresa/a.6028.

CSR dissemination became a key element for the reputation of enterprises and institutions. The objective of this study is to clarify if the information about CSR in South American countries is accessible to their audiences and academy, therefore this research focuses on the analysis of the information published in five wide fields: university studies, academic journals papers, information dissemination centers and reports to the Global Compact. The sample applied has been of ten countries. With 2,000 indexed data after revising thousands of them, Brazil appears to be the leader in disseminating CSR contents, followed by Colombia. The parallelism between the obtained results and the GNP and population is broken in different cases, as it is in Chile and Venezuela. This original research paper wants to collaborate in establishing an up-to-date state of art about the dissemination of CSR information in Latin America and the South Cone.
