Córdoba is one of the departments of the Colombian Caribbean region with the greatest attention for the study of mammals, which has allowed the previous list of 117 species of mammals to be increased. Thanks to new fieldwork in previously unexplored areas, and to taxonomic changes, the diversity of mammals in Córdoba expands to 141 species, adding 24 new species, including 14 taxonomic changes and the geographical distribution extension of 42 species within the department. The Chiroptera, Cetacea, Rodentia and Didelphiomorphia orders have the greatest changes and additions.
