The most important public asset for economic growth in Colombia hasbeen the diversification of domestic manufacturing. Governments that have promoted this and other productive assets (especially transporti nfrastructure, property rights and capital accumulation) have boostednational economic growth, and it has been diminished by those governments that have spurned or neglected the supply of productive assets.
