Chile's trade strategy, based on improving access to internationalmarkets, is considered successful. But although economic growthof the last thirty years is impressive, it was not able to diversify the country's productive structure. A new stage begins where business strategy should focus on innovation, which requires a revision of the role of the State in the market and to surpass horizontal policies.
