Abstract

MENDEZ HINCAPIE, Gabriel. Pragmatics without pragmatism. discus.filos [online]. 2010, vol.11, n.17, pp.181-203. ISSN 0124-6127.

This article shows how relate some pragmatic aspects in the work of Wittgenstein to core elements of Ch. S. Peirce pragmaticism. It chooses an alternative that overcomes the dualism wittgensteinian from an outline genuinely triadic semiotic-modal, ie, non-dualistic. In particular, it aims to show that genuinely triadic two tools, namely the existential graphs and universal semiotics of Charles S. Peirce, integrated into a model of "topological logic" constitute a valid and original tools in order to re-dimension the notion of 'language-game'.

Keywords : dualism; existential graphs; language-game; topological logic; pragmaticism; Triadic semiotics.
