Abstract
MILLER, David. Ancient and modern truths. discus.filos [online]. 2011, vol.12, n.18, pp.207-227. ISSN 0124-6127.
This paper undertakes a comparison of theories of truth and the solutions to the paradox of the liar advanced by Thomas Bradwardine (c. 1290-1349), Jean Buridan (c. 1295-1358), and Alfred Tarski (1901-1983). In addition, it offers a brief criticism to Read's point of views as expounded in his paper: The liar and the new T-schema.
