Abstract

ARANGO, Pablo R. About a form of failed but sucessful argument. discus.filos [online]. 2014, vol.15, n.25, pp.207-211. ISSN 0124-6127.

In this paper, I try to show that the shortcoming that David Stove found in the main argument of Modern European Philosophy about idealism is present in some of the main recent arguments favoring anti-realist, idealist or skeptical views in philosophy of science or epistemology. Specifically, this paper addresses a recent argument by Flórez against Devitt's realism.

Keywords : Anti-realism; idealism; Devitt; Flórez; Stove.
