Abstract

DIAZ, Jorge Aurelio. Julián marías and the will. discus.filos [online]. 2015, vol.16, n.27, pp.163-174. ISSN 0124-6127.  https://doi.org/10.17151/difil.2015.16.27.10.

This paper analyzes Julian Marías' anthropology and its clear 'personalistic' approach. In order to show this, reference will be made to two of Marías' main works, Antropología Filosófíca and Persona. The paper will also address critically the absence in Marías' thought of the question of evil. This absence seems to have repercussions on Marías' concept of the will, and the subsequent concept of freedom that results from it.

Keywords : Julián Marías; anthropology; personalism; will; evil.
