This article is the product of the research project: "Structured pluralism in the Colombian health system". The purpose of the article is to highlight the results presented with respect to the livelihood of the modulation as a formula to understand the performance of the overall system of health and Social Security in Colombia (SGSSS). Thereby, Londoño and Frenk's proposalabout rebuilding the modulation bases not only for pluralism structured but for all health systems is present to estimate better conditions in the SGSSS, whatever that is estimated. To explain the modulation as the cross-cutting health systems framework by taking into account the macro and mesoparametersthat it requires can help revitalize the SGSSS System State.The main finding is the ability to provision that can bring the modulation if it is known by all stakeholders in the system. In conclusion, modulation estimated from different models can give foundation and overcoming of the legal revisionism in which SGSSS end up.
