This study has been prepared in order to carry out an analysis of the content of community mediation in order to understand and implement it in a comprehensive way in the solution of urban-community conflicts. The article proposes a conceptual proposal of the communitarian mediation, also propose elements of subjective character and objective that implement the specialization in this matter, finding that some authors mention that the object of this type of alternative dispute resolution mechanism is to resolve community conflicts, without specifying a higher indicative or element that distinguishes it from other types of mediation. In general terms, it is concluded that the community mediation strengthens the social fabric, improves the quality of life of the neighbours, empowering to manage themselves the solution of their conflicts, providing a space that allows the healthy coexistence, as well as the creation of effective social policies based on the individual and collective needs of the community to which they belong and finally the study of their elements serve to dimension the practical scopes in their implementation as it is to determine the profile of the community mediator.
