Abstract

RUBIO QUINTERO, David Fernando. Institutional adaptation of the National Police to the peace agreements with the M-19 and the FARC, comparative study. Justicia [online]. 2023, vol.28, n.43, pp.137-156.  Epub Dec 11, 2023. ISSN 0124-7441.  https://doi.org/10.17081/just.28.43.6412.

Throughout Colombia’s political history, the different governments have sought to advance peace processes with armed groups, recognizing the need to safeguard the bonds of brotherhood and limit violence in the territory. For this reason, and especially since the 1980s, governments, regardless of their political affiliation, have advanced dialogues and postures towards peace, advancing in agreements and negotiations that served to demonstrate social and institutional dynamics. Consequently, the objective of this research article is to carry out a comparative study, focusing on the institutional adaptation capacity of the Colombian National Police in the face of the peace agreements with the FARC and the M-19 group.
