Abstract

MONTOYA-RESTREPO, Nataly. THE SOCIAL PLANNING: THE TACTICS OF AMPHIBIOUS STATE. Bitácora Urbano Territorial [online]. 2014, vol.24, n.1, pp.167-172. ISSN 0124-7913.

Using the metaphor of the Amphibious State, this article aims to appraise Social Urbanism, the model of intervention applied by the local administration in Medellin during the last decade. According to this model as analysed by this approach, social interventions are understood as accessory powers which are displayed in order to reduce the visibility of institutional violence, which is another public power.

Keywords : Medellin; Social Urbanism; State.
