Abstract

ROJAS -NARANJO, Jorge Eliecer. Post-agreement and territorial management in Colombia. Bitácora Urbano Territorial [online]. 2016, vol.26, n.2, pp.135-146. ISSN 0124-7913.  https://doi.org/10.15446/bitacora.v26n2.59303.

Territorial dynamics can be understood as a dialectical relationship between the models of occupation and development embedded in the institutional process of Territorial Management. In Colombia, this process is characterized by a differentiated state presence and actions of groups with heterogeneous interests, strategies and forces shaping a scenario of asymmetry of power, which has led to the permanence of territorial, environmental, social and economic conflicts, which are in turn a cause and an effect of armed conflict. The signing of the peace agreement with the guerrillas, represents an opportunity to solve the country's problems and ensure compliance with the objectives of territorial management process (welfare of the total population and a harmonious spatial occupation). The paper analyzes the impacts on the resolution of economical, enviromental y social conflicts as a result of the termination of the armed conflict. Some heterodox theoretical readings and alternative actions for building peace in the post-agreement are presented.

Keywords : Colombia; territorial conflicts; peacebuilding; land management; regional urban systems; post agreement.
