Abstract
GIRAUD-HERRERA, Loraine Mayrim and MORANTES-QUINTANA, Giobertti Raúl. Application of multivariate analysis for urban environmental sustainability. Bitácora Urbano Territorial [online]. 2017, vol.27, n.1, pp.89-100. ISSN 0124-7913. https://doi.org/10.15446/bitacora.v27n1.52110.
The determination of urban environmental variables within urban environmental sustainability, involves identifying possible variables that affect critically on sustainable urban development in terms of plots and buildings. This multivariate analysis applied to a case study of a section of Los Palos Grandes of Chacao (Caracas, Venezuela) addresses the following research questions: What are the urban environmental variables that influence the variability of Urban Environmental Sustainability (SAU) and how is the relationship between these variables from the limited information obtained? The fundamental theoretical framework is based on indicators for cities SAU and SAU assessment and is made from data collected in field work and data from secondary sources. The data was taken from 21 blocks of LPG industry factors (277 plots, 33% of the total area), using SPSS and then propose a multiple linear regression model to predict urban environmental sustainability at plot level. The results reflect some logical coherence and related relations with the SAU at the farm level in LPG.
