ZARATE-DE PAUL, Rodrigo  and  GUTIERREZ-CHAPARRO, Juan José. Contemporary Latin American urban research: Eure in The Web of Knowledge. Bitácora Urbano Territorial [online]. 2017, vol.27, n.2, pp.117-127. ISSN 0124-7913.  https://doi.org/10.15446/bitacora.v27n2.38307.

The aim of this paper is to analyze contemporary urban research in Latin America to identify the issues that are studied from the disciplines related to this field of research, in order to define whether there is a group of hegemonic subjects and authors. It takes Eure. Latin American Journal of Urban and Regional Studies published by the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile as the case of study, it is indexed in ISI Web of Knowledge of Thomson Reuters, and that allows for an analysis of the number of citations contained within the system to identify the characteristics of the current urban research. The main question guiding us Which are the contemporany issues treated by American researchers? Our conclusions, are that 30 articles out from 212 cited ones concentrate 603 citations, what means that 14% of the scientific articles collect 50% of the citations so we highlight that inside the discipline there is a group of items grouped in lines: 1) urban segregation, 2) globalization and territorial changes, 3) metropolis, 4) environmental, 5) regional and 6) urban economy.
