Guggenheim Museum Bilbao, designed by the architect Frank O. Gehry, is one of the most emblematic architectural works of the recent turn of the century. Twenty years since its opening, this paper explores its relevance for the generation of spatial transformation apparatus in the conformation of a new urban cultural zone.
