The traditional patterns of spatial segregation in the cities of Mexico have changed as a consequence of the expansion of closed housing complexes and the appearance of shopping centers in high status areas. An example of this in the city of Puebla is located in the Atlixcáyotl Territorial Unit, where the land use policy has intertwined the forces of the real estate market with the conditions of poverty and urban exclusion in colonies such as San Miguel la Rosa. The article analyzes the current conditions of mobility and accessibility in the said colony and proposes several strategies to improve these conditions, as a basis to a model of sustainable urban mobility of social inclusion.
