Resumen

BERMUDEZ AYALA, María Alejandra; FUENTES LOPEZ, Hector Javier  y  CASTRO ORTIZ, Juan Camilo. Housing deficit in the municipalities of the Pacific coast. Bitácora Urbano Territorial [online]. 2022, vol.32, n.3, pp.181-195.  Epub 02-Dic-2022. ISSN 0124-7913.  https://doi.org/10.15446/bitacora.v32n3.98342.

The main objective of this article is to find the socio-territorial variables that influence the increase in the housing deficit in the PDET municipalities of the Pacific coast. To achieve this purpose, the housing dynamics in the settlements of the Colombian Pacific region are described, from their incorporation in the multipurpose cadastre proposal as collective territories, to the identification of some socioeconomic factors that influence the housing deficit in the region. Subsequently, a filter was made of the PDET municipalities belonging to the Pacific coast, of which economic and social variables were analyzed, with the purpose of generating linear regression models that can estimate the housing deficit in the PDET municipalities of the Pacific coast, one at a general level and another one for the rural municipal component. With the above, the contribution of each element in the increase of the deficit was identified, where the percentages of service coverage, overcrowding and the poverty index stood out; particularly in the rural zone, the illiteracy rate was highlighted. The results found provide information to focus the attention of decision makers in the management of the territory.
