Abstract

SALGADO BOCANEGRA, Camilo. THE ROUTES OF HOSPITALITY, AN EXPLORATION BETWEEN CHILE AND ARGENTINA. Investig. andina [online]. 2022, vol.24, n.44, pp.87-100.  Epub Aug 17, 2023. ISSN 0124-8146.

The Hospitality Routes are born as a motivation to know the current and situated context of some hospital classrooms, belonging to the nations of Chile and Argentina, exchanging experiences with teachers and managers of said classrooms, as well as university professionals, hospital students, their caregivers (mothers, fathers, guardians) and health professionals. It is important to clarify the modalities of care that are provided within this pedagogy, since teachers work in hospitalization centers, at home or virtually, when homes are a long distance from the classroom or medical restrictions that do not allow the movement of the student body.

It is interesting to demonstrate the strategies and ways of working in the hospital classrooms visited and contrast it with the Bogota context because, without having a direct approach, the hospital pedagogy programs are developed in a very similar way, changing some situated procedures, which have an impact in culture, national and local regulations, as well as the interest in using different pedagogical and socio-emotional strategies for the benefit of students in a situation of illness.

One of the great motivations that led to these routes has been the implementation of the Pedagogy of Hospitality subject at the District University of Bogotá, Colombia, given that the aspects addressed therein constitute sources of particular and joint interest for those who teach, and They are dedicated to hospital pedagogy.
