Abstract
RAMIREZ MONTANEZ, Julio Cesar; SARMIENTO SUAREZ, Jaime Enrique and SUAREZ QUINTERO, Alejandra. INTRA-REGIONAL DYNAMISM OF SANTANDER WITH THE COUNTRIES OF THE PACIFIC ALLIANCE IN THE PERIOD 2020-2021. Tend. [online]. 2023, vol.24, n.1, pp.24-49. Epub Oct 04, 2022. ISSN 0124-8693.
The Pacific Alliance is an integration agreement between Colombia, Chile, Peru and Mexico that has been established since 2012, whose purpose is to increase interdependence between countries, with greater cooperation between them. The objective of this research is to present the most relevant issues of intraregional trade of the tariff headings with the greatest dynamics in exports and imports from the department of Santander, in the period 2020-2021, with the member countries of the Pacific Alliance. The methodology implemented was exploratory and descriptive. Among the most representative findings, we can highlight the low level of commercial exchange in exports and imports carried out between Santander and the countries of the Pacific Alliance. In the same way, it was possible to verify that the main export products of Santander to the Pacific Alliance are gasoline-type carbide reactors for reactors and turbines, with Mexico being the main commercial partner in both the import and export dynamics of the department, observing a greater share of exports corresponding to the metal-mechanic sector, where electrical conductors for a voltage of less than 1000 V of copper is the main product imported from the countries of the Pacific Alliance. It was possible to determine in the same way that Mexico is the main provider of goods and services from the Pacific Alliance.
