Abstract

The objective of the article is to analyze the strategies implemented by microbusinesses for their subsistence, and thus identify important study gaps for future research. As a methodology, research questions were prepared, articles were verified in scientific data banks during the years 2017 to 2022, 50 that were relevant were selected and the quality evaluation was carried out. The review reveals that much of the research shows a single strategy without taking into account other actions that would be important for microbusinesses. It is obtained as results, strategies that micro-businesses need, such as banks committing to offer a wide variety of assistance to manage them in a better way, also, innovation using different combinations of markets and products, is less successful than activities that They emphasize minimizing technology, market, and service mixes. In conclusion, it is necessary for microbusinesses to propose activities to achieve advantages, optimize internal auditing and accounting, to make correct decisions. This study can be a reference for microbusiness owners in emerging markets. Innovative strategies are developed that could help micro-businesses to be sustainable.
