Resumen

ALVAREZ HERRERA, Javier Giovanni; DAZA TORRES, Martha Constanza  y  MENDOZA FORERO, Cristina. APPLICATION OF AN ENRICHED FERTILIZER WITH SILICON AND ORGANIC MATTER IN THE YIELD OF RICE (Oryza sativa L.) SOWED IN IBAGUÉ AND EL GUAMO ( TOLIMA, COLOMBIA ). Rev. Fac. Nac. Agron. Medellín [online]. 2008, vol.61, n.2, pp.4605-4617. ISSN 0304-2847.

The experiment was developed in two localities and its objective was evaluate the effect of different doses and times of application of a suplement fertilizer enriched with organic matter, silicon and microelements in the rice variety Fedearroz 50. The experimental design was completely at random with factorial of 2 doses (20 and 40 kg•ha-1) and 5 combinations of time and doses of application (100 % Preseed, 50 % Preseed + 50 % to Preflood, 100 % preflood, 50 % Preseed + 50 % midseason, 100 % to midseason) compared against a commercial witness ( 40 kg of SiO2) and a productive witness. The applications in midseason of fertilizer generated an increase in the number of panicles. It was found that a bigger panicles number correlates with a smaller number of full spikes and a bigger vaining, although this it is minimized with early applications of the fertilizer and climatic factors. In Ibagué, the suitable dose of fertilizer was 40 kg applied in midseason, with yields of 9270 kg•ha-1; whereas, in El Guamo the best result was obtained with 20 kg of fertilizer applied in preflood, with yield of 6906 kg•ha-1.The mathematical model suggests that applications of 66.9 kg•ha-1 of the fertilizer for Ibagué increased the production of rice on the average to 8876 kg•ha-1.

Palabras clave : Fertilization; benefit elements; paddy; micronutrients.
